Vienna is an often underestimated city and thus a lot of visitors are truly surprised about how many wonderful places wait to be explored during a walking tour or a city tour.

The old town is very compact and offers  many sights on the Ring boulevard and around St. Stephan's cathedral. The size of the old town is not too big and therefore Vienna is a perfect walking city. During a city walk one can concentrate more on the imperial side including the Hofburg palace or the older part around St. Stephan's cathedral.

It is also possible to look at things more detailed by following the footsteps of the famous composers such as Mozart, Beethoven or Strauss who lived and worked here, the history of the Jewish population which was the 3rd largest in Europe before WWII or enjoy a walk to the (more than 30!!!) Christmas markets in the Advent season.

By taking a driving tour around Vienna one discovers though that the city is not a museum only but also a thriving modern place. It does not only offer palaces like Schönbrunn, but is also home to many international organizations, such as the UN. Do not miss seeing the colorful and unusual Hundertwasser house or the Ferries wheel near to the Danube river.

Follow me on a walking tour or city tour and you will be surprised for sure!

Yours, Renate Bauer
